Seb Planning and Development is owned and operated by Simon Betts, a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years experience in practice, working both within the public and private sector.
Simon established the company in April 2024, following his desire to run an organisation reflecting his own ethos and outlook. At Seb Planning, we seek to provide straightforward and pragmatic advice, helping our clients to navigate the complexities of the planning system; using our experience to solve problems, help unlock development potential and protect our clients interests. We offer a collaborative based approach and are able to provide advice across the full range and scale of development types.

We offer a full range of Town Planning and related services and a flexible based approach, to ensure our support is tailored to each of our client’s requirements. This comprises, amongst other things; planning feasibility, planning application submissions and appeals and strategic advice and land promotion, alongside planning enforcement. We also have experience in providing support to Local Planning Authorities and specific experience in major projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and EIA. Please see below for further information.
We offer professional and prompt advice, bound by honesty and integrity, with access to an experienced planning professional throughout any commission. Our friendly and collaborative approach, coupled with a proven track record in securing positive outcomes for our clients, ensures satisfaction. Additionally, we provide flexible commercial terms tailored to individual client requirements.
We specialise in planning application submissions for all types of applications, including condition discharge, acting as agent on your behalf, throughout the process.
In the event of refusal of planning permission or the non determination of planning applications, we are able to offer advice on prospects and submit appeals on your behalf.
In the event of a breach of planning control, we are able to offer support and advice in respect of regularisation and remedy of any breach, linked to planning application submissions and enforcement appeals as required.
Invariably not all development potential has short term prospects. We are able to provide advice on longer term strategy’s for fulfilling development potential, including promotion through the local plan process.
As part of our approach to planning feasibility, we are able to provide early stage advice through planning appraisal reviews, that provide focussed initial advice to inform investment decisions.
Through our experience of major projects, we are able to provide advice on Environmental Impact Assessment requirements, alongside extensive knowledge and experience of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.
